The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose - to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
This valve lets you upgrade the shower valve in your RV or camper. It includes a deck plate and 2 sets of mounting nuts. The black mounting nuts thread onto the shanks, whereas the gray quick-connect mounting nuts just slide right on. Depending on your preference, you could use either set of mounting nuts for installation. Using the standard NPSM inlet shanks, slide the new valve and deck plate in place through the mounting holes. Then hand-tighten the mounting nuts against the backside of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines.

Hey, everyone. Today we're going to be taking a look at the LaSalle Bristol Utopia RV Shower Valve with Vacuum Breaker.This is in a dual teacup handles style in parchment color. Now, this is going to be a great way to either upgrade or replace your RV handle for your tub or your bathroom. This is going to give you the dual handles to operate your hot and cold, and then it also has a spigot to have a handheld system so you can have a handheld shower in your RV shower. It's also going to prevent any kind of backflow contamination of your clean water supply, so you don't have to worry about anything getting into that clean water and causing any issues. So we'll have our little red indicator for our hot side, blue for the cold.And we'll get everything you see laid out here.
So we'll get two rubber washers to go at the back and a plate as well. So this basically just rests over the top of those two inlets, and then our rubber washer. And then you can either use the gray nuts or the black.These black are just going to thread in place to keep that tightened down, and take a little bit to thread that all the way until it's tight. Or you can use one of these and it seems like it doesn't fit at first, it seems very loose, but if you push it all the way down, it actually snaps into place, and now it's nice and tight. So that's pretty cool.
This is pretty quick to put that on there. And then to take that off, you just start to unthread it and it releases the pressure and then you can pull it right back off. So either one you can use for your application, just up to your preference there. Actually, going to leave these nuts on here just to keep my plate and washers in place.It is a wall-mount, two-hole installation. We'll have our inlet shanks that have a standard male NPSM connection, so we'll have our deck plate, the threaded mounting nuts, the quick-connect mounting nuts, and then the two rubber washers.
This is UPC, cUPC, NSF, and ANSI-certified, so basically those are all just third-party testing facilities that will test those to make sure that it's up to par.As far as the dimensions, it measures about 9-1/4" wide from the outermost edge of our faucet handles here. So when they're turned all the way up, it's about 9-1/4". Measures about 2-1/8" tall, which is going from the backing plate to where this hose would start. So when we have that threaded on there, that's where that would start. And then from where it's mounted to the top of those handles, about 3-1/2" tall.
So from here to here, 3-1/2". The base dimensions, so from this edge, this edge, it's 6-1/8" wide by 2-1/8" tall. Get my ruler down there so you can actually see it. And as far as our inlet shanks, the inner diameter, so this space inside is 1/2". The outer diameter is 13/16. The distance between those two center to center is 4", and the length from our backing plate is 1-1/2". The vacuum breaker outer diameter is 13/16.This does come with a five-year warranty from LaSalle Bristol. We'd been looking for months for a replacement faucet for our year 2000 camper. After logging off all of my devices (to hopefully circumvent 'relevance'), I ran my search again and etrailer was one of the top results. Because the photos and video were precise, clear, taken from all angles and with detailed measurements, I was able to compare with my old faucet. I was so pleased that it was an exact fit!! I'll be using them again soon. We're still rehabbing this little camper and etrailer is now my go to spot for replacement parts.
Website was easy to use. For me the best part was the measurements of the faucets. It took the guess work out of knowing what would fit and match what we wanted. Installation went well. Love the look of it and it even gives us higher water pressure than our old one which was a nice surprise. Overall, I would definitely order from them again.
I bought this because the faucet in our RV was very low and I wanted a faucet that had a higher outlet. It doesn’t go out very far into the sink, so, when washing your hands, water drips onto the counter top. I removed it and went back to the original faucet. I have since the found a swivel attachment that makes the water flow out further into the sink. I put this faucet back with the swivel and all should be fine.
Trailer folks are just great! I chose a shipping method that wasn't an option for my address, and they called me right away to get it figured out. That's right, called me person to person. That is some awesome customer service right there! Oh yeah, the part was a perfect match too, took longer for the Teflon goop to dry than to install the fixture itself

Perfect replacement for the plain white fixture that came on the camper. 30 minute removal and install.
Once I install it I'm sure it will be just fine. The threaded shower part was broken off and I need to remove the access panel to get to the hook up for the faucet. Tom
These faucets should be standard installs in new RVs like my Ibex.It reaches farther above and into the sink bowl so less splash. The valve handles turn much better and install was as simple as it gets. Should have changed sooner.
And the best is Made in USA!!
The faucet looked nice but it didn't fit on top of the new sink I ordered as well as the 1/2" stems were too short so I had to send it back. I did attempt to attach it to see if it did fit but between the thickness of the new sink and my counter top no way would it work.
It's the exact replacement on a 2017 Keystone Springdale. Fairly easy replacement. Most difficult part is the small amount of room for access to the two water feed lines. But very possible with patience. Also Be prepared to replace the seals at the inlet water lines with new ones. It would be good on the etrailer web site for this faucet to have the seals listed to add to your order.
There are two strainer screens within the faucet at the water inlet lines. Keep those screens in mind because they are prone to fouling up and obstructing water flow. When that happens you have to remove the whole faucet again to clean them.
Anyway the faucet is the perfect replacement and works great
This LaSalle Bristol RV Shower valve replaced original OEM part perfectly. Works great!
The one I received and installed today suffers from the same problem that others have encountered with this particular model: the hot water side has an issue that restricts the flow of water to the center pull-down spout. The cold water flow is just fine, and having reconnected the original faucet being replaced, both the hot and cold water flow just fine, and there is no issue with the hot water pressure. Unfortunately I will be returning this unit and asking for a refund.
It works very well as hoped upon initial installation. Being all plastic is OK given the affordable cost. Long term durability remains to be seen. Good for my needs.
Fit as it should without modifications. Handle turn is firm so as not to move during travel. Works well.
1 year later with this in our camper. This faucet is still working well.
